The exhibition will be shown from 6.04 - 01.09.2019

At the exhibition, you can get a close look of 30 pieces of furniture, created by the young designers, including Kasper Thorup. By exhibiting the furniture together with small film clips and other sketch material from the design processes, side by side with the "old" classics, Design Museum Denmark wants to make the audience reflect on what it takes to create a furniture classic.

It is obvious that our museum, which has all the old originals from the golden age of Danish design in the collections, also relates to what tomorrow’s design should live up to

says Museum Director Anne-Louise Sommer who, together with designer Kasper Salto, took on the role of the judging panel who had to agree on a winning design for every episode of the Danish TV show Danmark’s Næste Klassiker.
