Box Fit

The Box fit recessed installation, also known as "housing cans" or "can lights," include a box that holds the light bulb and related components. This housing is installed within the ceiling.

Installation: The box is typically fixed in place first, and then the light fixture is installed into the housing.

Use Case: Suitable for new constructions or major renovations where you have access to the ceiling joists and can install the housing before the ceiling is closed.

Clip Fit

The Clip fit recessed installation include clips that secure the light fixture directly into the ceiling material without the need for a separate housing box.

Installation: This option is pushed into a pre-cut hole in the ceiling, and the clips hold them in place. 

Use Case: Ideal for retrofitting into existing ceilings where you may not have access to above the ceiling space.
